Florida House of Chaplains (FHOC) is a faith-driven outreach founded on one unshakable belief: every life matters, and every person deserves a second chance no matter how broken their story may seem.
We are a growing network of chaplains, volunteers, and community advocates united by a shared mission to bring hope, healing, and restoration to individuals affected by incarceration, addiction, homelessness, and mental health challenges. Rooted in compassion, discipline, and the transformative power of faith, we’re committed to guiding people toward purpose and renewal.
Our chaplains partner closely with law enforcement, correctional facilities, shelters, and recovery centers meeting people right where they are, both physically and spiritually. Whether someone is behind bars, living in a shelter, or navigating life after trauma, FHOC is there to walk beside them, offering hands-on support, spiritual care, and unwavering encouragement. We don’t judge we uplift, equip, and empower.
What makes FHOC different? We go to the front lines.
We don’t wait for people to come to us we seek them out. Our volunteers are street-level servants and spiritual “first responders,” reaching into prisons, neighborhoods, and temporary housing facilities to deliver immediate help and long-term hope. We’re not just a ministry we’re a movement of restoration.
What We Believe
We believe that faith, structure, and opportunity can radically transform even the most troubled life. At FHOC, we know that true, lasting change begins with spiritual renewal but it doesn’t end there.
We preach forgiveness but also responsibility. We challenge people to rise above their past, take ownership of their future, and become contributing members of their communities. Transformation is possible but it takes truth, grace, and guidance.
Our approach is holistic caring for the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. That’s why our programs go beyond spiritual support. We offer practical tools like job and life skills training, educational assistance, healthcare access, and housing resources. Because people don’t just need a prayer they need a plan.
We also believe deeply in the power of family. We support not only individuals, but the spouses, parents, and children impacted by their struggles. We encourage healing within families, promote strong values, and advocate for stable homes, healthy relationships, and financial independence.
Our Vision
We envision a national network of chaplains and trained volunteers acting as bridges between brokenness and healing reaching into every corner of society with compassion, conviction, and courage.
Our goal is to establish community-based centers across the country where people in crisis can find more than just shelter they’ll find job training, child care, counseling, mentorship, and the spiritual guidance they need to rebuild their lives. These will be places of transformation life schools and spiritual hospitals for the soul.
We also see a future where FHOC is a trusted partner to police departments, social service agencies, and local governments working together to reduce recidivism, disrupt generational cycles of poverty and addiction, and build stronger communities.
Ultimately, our mission is simple yet profound: restoration for individuals, families, and communities. With faith and hope, we believe no life is beyond redemption. And with your partnership through giving, volunteering, or sharing our mission we can help countless men, women, and children find a path toward dignity, direction, and divine purpose.
